EAST HARTFORD, CONN., (December 5, 2013) – In a move to leverage its expertise in metal construction,customer service and quality control, United Steel, Inc., has launched a new division to fabricate metal parts and components. United Metal Solutions will provide strategic, cost-saving production services for manufacturers, maintenance and repair operations, public utilities, aerospace, power generation, and other industries located primarily in the northeast United States. The division will be headquartered in United Steel’s 125,000 square foot, state-of-the-art automated fabrication facility in East Hartford.
United Metal Solutions will utilize United Steel’s team of highly skilled welders, ironworkers, engineers, and precision machinists. They will cut, drill, fabricate, weld and assemble parts and components of all sizes made from many different types of metals including carbon and stainless steel, bronze, brass, aluminum, and alloy in various forms including bars, pipes, tubing, structurals, plates, and sheets.
Additionally, United Steel’s estimators, project managers, and quality control professionals will support United Metal Solutions will be led by Dylan Altieri, who will serve as sales manager. Altieri is a 15-year veteran in the metal fabrication industry who was the sales and marketing manager with Denman &

Altieri feels that the new division is poised to fill a serious void left by other metal providers when they moved from the region. The company expects to grow quickly and take a leadership position in the metal fabrication segment in the same manner that United Steel is in the construction industry.
